2008-2009: Has improved her low post game in a short period of time…solid ball handler…not afraid to mix it up in the paint…excellent leaper…will be a member of the JV team this year.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Brainerd High School, Barron was coached by Carl Hendrickson… participated in basketball (3 years), volleyball (3 years) and softball (3 years) during her athletic career at Brainerd… All-Central Lakes Conference honorable mention three years… named Ms. Rebounder two years… named Ms. Offense for volleyball… All-Central Lakes Conference honorable mention in volleyball and softball.

Personal: Daughter of Melissa and Michael Barron of Baxter, Minn… enjoys playing sports and spending time with friends and family… majoring in elementary education with a minor in sports medicine.

What do you like about being/anticipate about being a collegiate student-athlete?
“I am excited to meet people through basketball that can help me in the classroom, and I will always emphasize the fact that I am a student first then an athlete.”

Why did you decide to attend CSB?
“I have always wanted to go here since the first moment I stepped on campus.”

"Points of Pride" What Have You Accomplished in the Sport of Basketball?
“I have won awards for rebounding, and I think that I have learned a lot about leadership, and determination. I got the chance to be one of the four captains of an amazing team my senior year and we led our team to the section finals.”
