2014-2015: First-year season ... played junior varsity

High School: A 2014 graduate of Jefferson High School, Betterman was coached by Wendy Kohler. She participated in cross country, basketball and track and field all four years of high school. She earned all-conference and all-conference honorable mention in basketball, and was named her team’s Defensive MVP as a junior and senior. She earned all-conference in cross country for four yearsand in track for three years. She was the section champion in triple jump and 400-meter relay as a senior, and was part of the state champion 400-meter relay team. She qualified for state in five events throughout her high school career.

Personal: Betterman is the daughter of Julie and Chuck Betterman, and she has two brothers, Josh and Lucas. She enjoys running, sports and being outside, and is majoring in biology with a pre-med emphasis ... also competes on the Blazer track and field team.
