Mary Stenson enters her fifth year at the College of Saint Benedict and with the Blazer athletic department in 2015-16.
Stenson, who is an assistant professor of exercise science and sport studies at CSB, is the co-advisor of the Blazers’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Stenson earned her PhD in exercise physiology from Springfield College in 2012. She received a master’s in exercise physiology from Springfield College in 2008, and she earned her bachelor of science in biology from Niagara University in 2006.
While at Niagara – an NCAA Division I school – Stenson ran cross country for four years and was the SAAC president for two years.
Stenson, who is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, is married to Matthew Stenson, who is the strength and conditioning coach at CSB. The couple has one son and lives in St. Joseph.
