About Us
The CSB Dance Team consists of two teams: the Club Dance Team and the Competition Dance Team (known as the Dance Team). The Club Dance Team and Dance Team participate in some performances and activities together and have some events and performances as separate teams. As a CSB Dance Team or Club Dance Team member, student-athletes are a representative not only of the team, but also the entire college. 
 
The proud tradition of the CSB Dance Team is carried on by dedicated student-athletes who devote many hours every week to practices, games, special appearances, camps and competitions. We are always looking for skilled and talented athletes, as well as well-rounded students, who embrace the ability to be coached. CSB Dance Team and Club Dance Team members must be able to find a healthy balance between athletics, school, family, and friends. Our team members come from all over the nation and have very diverse dance backgrounds.

OUR TEAMS


CLUB DANCE TEAM

The Club Dance Team performs during Saint John’s University football games and College of Saint Benedict soccer games in the fall season and performs at CSB and SJU basketball games as well as CSB and SJU Hockey games during the spring. Besides performing at football, soccer, basketball, and hockey games, dancers have the opportunity to participate in other campus events and community activities during the fall semester. The Club Dance Team is a great opportunity for any Bennie that is interested in Dance and Performing. The Club Dance Team welcomes all dancers at all experience levels.
 
 

 


DANCE TEAM
Dance Team members perform at SJU football games, CSB soccer games, CSB and SJU basketball games, and CSB and SJU hockey games. All Dance Team members will attend summer practices, including Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp and practices hosted in the Twin Cities. They also attend practices in December and January prior to their UDA National competition in Orlando, FL. The Dance Team is a great opportunity for any Bennie Dancer that wants to compete at a collegiate level. Dancers who are studying abroad during the spring semester and have a departure date after UDA Nationals are eligible to participate on the Dance Team. Those who have departure dates before the UDA Nationals will not be allowed to be on the Dance Team.
