High School: A 2010 graduate of Bemidji High School, Hoffman was coached by Scott Engelstad and participated in tennis (six years) and track (two years) during her athletic career at Bemidji High School. She was named tennis team captain her senior year and holds the record for most career wins at Bemidji High School. Hoffman is a Minnesota state tournament participant in tennis.
Personal: Hoffman is the daughter of Diane and Jim Hoffman of Bemidji, Minn. She enjoys running, biking, swimming, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Hoffman is majoring in elementary education with a minor in nutrition.
