College of Saint Benedict

2024-25: Senior Emma Young had 3 assists and 20 shots this season. She started in 14 of 17 games and totaled 992 minutes. Young earned the Academic All Conference Award. Emma had a single game high of 3 shots againtst St. Scholastica. Young will end her career with 33 shots and six assists. 

2023-24: Young earned the Academic All MIAC Award. She played in 18 games and started in five of them; 402 total minutes. She had one assist, five shots, and three shots on goal, and a SOG percentage of .600.  

2022-23: Emma earned Academic All-MIAC and played in all 19 games as a sophomore. She recorded 1 assist and 5 shots, including 3 on goal and played 486 minutes. 

2021-22: Saw playing time in 13 games as a first year and recorded her first career assist in the team's 10-0 win over Minnesota Morris on Sept. 1. Young finished with three shots and played 193 minutes.

High School: Emma is a 2021 graduate at Lakeville North High School. She was active in soccer for four years, golf for three years, and cross country for three years. In soccer she was all academic gold team all four years and won the section player award for 2020. She participated in Lakeville soccer club where she was captain for three years. Her proudest moment in her career so far was winning the State Championship for her soccer club and being one of the goal scorers in the penalty shootout. 

Personal: Emma is the daughter of Heather and Tom Young. She has one brother, named Ryan. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, spending time with friends and family, watching movies, traveling, and spending time at the lake. She is most excited to be a collegiate student-athlete because she gets the opportunity to meet new players, make new friends, and to continue to play the game she loves. Her major is in pre-dentistry.
