2021: Competed in seven races as a junior ... earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors thanks to a 25th-place finish at the conference meet ... also earned All-Region accolades after finishing 33rd at the North Region meet ... ran a top-50 5K time in program history at the Luther Invite on Sept. 11 (19:30.44) ... ran the ninth-best 6K time in CSB history at the Lewis & Clark Invite on Oct. 16 (22:53.9) ... finished the year with five top-25 finishes.

2020-21: Did not compete as the official 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID19 pandemic and condensed into a short season in March 2021.

2019: Competed in one race as a first year ... finished the Eau Claire Invite 6K in 26:04.0.

High School: Demorett is a 2019 graduate of Waseca High School. There she was in track and field for six years and cross country for three years. She earned cross country’s most improved award (2017), cross country Bluejay award (2018), track and field all-conference in the 4x8 (2017-2019), and cross country all-conference honorable mention (2018). Emily was also participated in the winter swim team where she earned the team player award in 2017. The proudest moment in her career was crossing the finish line at sections her senior year after all her hard work and being proud of her time. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she still gets to work and train hard to get better every day.

Personal: Emily is the daughter of Paul and Pam Demorett, and has three siblings, Mason, Lydia, and Jared. Her grandpa, grandma, four uncles, two aunts, three cousins, parents, and siblings all graduated from CSB/SJU. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing cards, and spending time with family. She is pursuing an exercise science major with a focus in sports administration.
