2019: Competed in seven races a junior ...finished in the top 40 in the 5K at Fall Finale where she also recorded a personal-best 5K time (23:06) ... completed a career-best time in the 6K at the MIAC Championships with a time of 28:16.0

2018: Competed in seven races as a sophomore ... named one of the team's two Most Improved Runners ... finished in the top 100 three times, including 27th at the Fall Finale ... recorded an eight-minute personal best in the 6K at the Eau Claire Invite, finishing in 28:32.4 ... also recorded a nine-minute PR in the 5K, running the Fall Finale in 23:14.

2017: Ran in seven races in her first year at CSB ... ran a career-best 6k at the Crown College Invite (33:38.14) and 4k at the CSB Alumnae Meet (26:32).

High School: Carney is a 2017 graduate of Glen Lake High School. She played one year of volleyball and four years of basketball, and ran two years of track and three years of cross country. She received numerous awards, including all-conference honorable mention in track (2014, 2015) and cross country (2015), and all-conference for basketball (2014, 2015, 2016). Despite many setbacks, she is proud of finishing her high school career with a great group of teammates.

Personal: Sarah is the daughter of Kevin and Liz Carney. She has four siblings: Jacob, Rachael, Erin, and Elizabeth. She loves reading and yoga, and appreciates being able to connect with her teammates through their shared love of running. She is a biology major with a theology minor while at CSB/SJU.
