2020-21: Started and played in all six games as a junior in a season that was shortened and played in Spring 2021 due to the COVID19 pandemic ... led the team with four points on two goals, both of which came in a win over Bethel on April 11 ... also led the team with 17 shots and nine shots on goal ... played 430 minutes.
2019: Played in all 19 games as a sophomore ... setting career-highs with seven goals and four assists ... scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win at Saint Mary's ... also scored a pair of goals to help CSB end the season with a 3-2 win over Carleton ... finished the year with 27 shots, including 18 on net.
2018: Started five of 16 games ... scored two goals including the first of her career on Sept. 29 in a tie with Bethel ... scored the game-winning goal in overtime Oct. 24 against Macalester ... recorded one assist ... finished the year with eight shots, including five on net ... recorded five points.
High School: Veldman is from South St. Paul and is a 2018 graduate of South St. Paul Secondary. In high school, she played varsity soccer for five years, varsity basketball for four years, and competed in varsity track and field for six years. Her many soccer achievements include two all-conference awards (2016, 2017), two all-conference honorable mention awards (2013, 2014), two all-state awards (2016, 2017), Rookie of the Year (2013), two-time academic all-state (2016, 2017), team captain (2017), team MVP (2017), and made the school record holder for career goals (2017). In basketball she earned three all-conference honorable mention honors and was a two-time captain, and she earned nine all-conference honors, three all-state honors, two team conference championships and set three school records in track and field. Veldman also was an Athena Award Winner (2018) and Honor Athlete (2018). Roxanne also played for the Woodbury Soccer Club. Her proudest moment in her career was scoring four hat tricks in four different games over the season and setting the record for goals in a career her senior year,
Personal: Roxanne is the daughter of Mark and Jill Veldman and she has one sister, Samantha. Her interests are playing sports, going to the cabin, going on walks, and being with friends and family. She plans is a nursing major at CSB/SJU.
