ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – Postseason volleyball has arrived. The No. 3 seeded College of Saint Benedict volleyball team opens the MIAC Playoffs by hosting a first-round matchup against Augsburg University at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Claire Lynch Hall.
Saint Benedict enters the playoffs with an 18-6 overall record and a 9-2 mark in MIAC play, tying Gustavus Adolphus for second place in the league standings. By virtue of Gustavus' head-to-head win earlier this season, CSB earns the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Augsburg in the opening round. All-time CSB is 24-20 in the MIAC playoffs in 23 appearances winning playoff titles in 2024, 2017 and 2009. Augsburg is 5-12 in the playoffs.

All tickets for the 2025 MIAC Playoffs will be sold and purchased online via
HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at any venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device, including while at the venue. Tickets are available for purchase immediately. General admission adult tickets are $12 (plus HTT service charge). Student (with ID) tickets are $3 (plus HTT service charge), and children ages five and under are admitted free. As a reminder, artificial noisemakers are not permitted at any MIAC events.
CSB Student Senate sponsors free admission for 1st 200 students
Due to sponsorship of the CSB Student Senate, the first 200 students will receive free admission and free pizza (while it lasts) will be handed out to CSB/SJU students attending the game.

The
2025 MIAC Volleyball Playoffs will be streamed live on the
MIAC Sports Network in a pay-per-view format. Individual playoff contests will be streamed for $10 each, or $25 for a "championship pass" to stream the entire tournament live. On-demand access to playoff matches will be available after the NCAA Tournament concludes.

- 7 p.m., hosted by the highest remaining seed
The MIAC Playoff Champion earns the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championships.

Bennies Notes
Under veteran head coach
Nicole Hess, Saint Benedict has continued its tradition of excellence. Hess has now guided CSB to 290 career wins (354 overall) and another top three MIAC finish. The Bennies are looking to defend last year's MIAC Tournament title and make a return trip to the NCAA Division III Championships.
The Bennies clinched the right to host Tuesday's playoff opener with a 3-0 sweep of Bethel on Nov. 5 (25-18, 25-19, 25-19). They closed the regular season with another sweep, defeating Carleton, 3-0, on Nov. 8 to finish with 10 wins in their final 13 matches. At home this season, the Bennies had an 8-2 record.

Jones has 13 double-digit kill matches this season and 34 career double-doubles. She enters the playoffs with 800 career kills, 871 digs, and 105 service aces.
- Chaeli Haupert (Sr., L) has 1,263 career digs (10th all-time at CSB) and ranks 4th in the MIAC this season (4.34 digs/set). She's posted double-digit digs in 20 matches, including a career-high 31 digs vs. Concordia.
- Izzy Torve (So., S) is tied for 5th in the MIAC in aces (0.45/set) and 11th in assists (5.26/set). She has six double-doubles this season and a career-best 34 assists vs. Cornell.
- Mackenzie Knofczynski (Sr., MB) is the MIAC's blocking leader (1.01/set, 90 total). She recently surpassed 800 career kills (813) and has 338 career blocks.
- McKenna Moehrle (Sr., MH) provides a veteran presence with 89 kills this season, bringing her career totals to 383 kills and 126 blocks.
- Keira McManus (Fr., OH) has had an impressive first year, averaging 2.05 kills/set (.212). She notched a career-high 19 kills vs. Concordia and hit .522 on 13 kills in the sweep of Carleton.
Scouting Augsburg
Led by first-year head coach Jay Kam, Augsburg (11-18, 5-6 MIAC) claimed the final playoff berth after defeating St. Scholastica to break a tie for sixth. The Auggies have won two straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.

Saint Benedict has dominated the series, holding a 37-8 record against Augsburg since 1993. The Bennies are 18-1 at home and have won two straight in the matchup. In their most recent meeting on Oct. 22, 2025, CSB earned a 3-1 victory in Minneapolis (25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18). A year ago in the MIAC Playoffs, the Bennies defeated Augsburg, 3-2.
