St. Paul, Minn. — The College of Saint Benedict swim and dive team made a strong showing at the St. Catherine/St. Olaf Double Dual on Saturday, Nov. 1, splitting a pair of duals. The Bennies rolled past St. Catherine, 204–82, but came up short against St. Olaf, 191–108. Despite the split, CSB turned in an impressive performance with six event titles and 17 top four finishes.

Leading the charge once again was junior Haley Zelen, who continued her remarkable season with three individual victories and one relay win. Zelen extended her streak of program records to four straight weeks, this time lowering her own mark in the 100 butterfly to 56.47, eclipsing last week's 56.68. She also claimed titles in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.76), a time that now ranks fourth in CSB history, and the 50 freestyle (24.25), just shy of her earlier season-best of 23.97. Zelen capped her day by helping the 400-freestyle relay squad—alongside Anna Schottler, Mary Morris, and Josey Larson—to victory in 3:40.29.

Larson also celebrated a milestone, capturing first in the 200 butterfly with a personal-best 2:16.12, good for ninth in program history. She added a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:01.87).

First-year standout Anna Schottler posted two runner-up finishes, taking second in both the 100 freestyle (55.37) and 200 freestyle (2:02.45).

Mary Morris earned a win of her own, touching first in the 200 backstroke (2:08.92), while also placing second in the 100 backstroke (1:00.39). Josie Thomas followed in fifth (1:05.83). The team of Morris, Megan Bartels, Larson, and Schottler combined for third in the 200-medley relay, finishing in 1:54.03.

In distance events, Morgan Stout claimed second in the 500 freestyle (5:36.05) and fourth in the 1000 freestyle (11:39.04). Megan Bartels finished fourth in both breaststroke races—100 (1:12.57) and 200 (2:39.72).

CSB also saw strong depth in the butterfly, as first-year Izzy Green (2:28.86) and Isabella Anderson (2:32.25) joined Larson in the top five of the 200 fly. Lydia Jostock took fourth in the 200 IM (2:23.16) and fifth in the 50 freestyle, while senior Lauren Sitzman finished fifth in the 200 backstroke (2:23.63).

On the boards, Emma Netland represented CSB well in diving, placing sixth on the 1-meter (291.15) and fifth on the 3-meter (306.65).
