NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team (5-7-4, 2-6-2 MIAC) faced a tough loss against St. Olaf (11-2-3, 6-2-2 MIAC) on Saturday, October 26, despite
Alli Voss scoring her 10th goal of the season.
With the setback, St. Benedict falls to 2-6-2 in the MIAC and 5-7-4 overall, while St. Olaf remains in fourth place in the conference at 6-2-2 (11-2-3 overall). CSB will close out the regular season on with a game at Carleton College at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Alli Voss of Edina, Minn., reached double digits in goals for the second time in her career (previously achieving this in 2022 with 12 goals) and now has a total of 30 career goals. Her latest goal ties her for second in the MIAC for goals scored, averaging .625 goals per game. Voss also ranks fourth in the conference for points (24) and shots (57), with 26 shots on goal, placing her seventh overall.

Annie Waters recorded seven saves, bringing her season total to 80, which ranks third in the MIAC. She averages 5.0 saves per game, placing her fifth in that category.
St. Olaf quickly took a 2-0 lead in the first half, starting with a goal from Sadie Klassen just 1:52 into the match, assisted by Wren VanDeWalker after a rebound off Waters. Katie Beaudry extended the lead to 2-0 at the 10:00 mark, with Cat Duffy-Shaw providing the assist.
The game saw a defensive struggle after the early goals, until Voss pulled one back for the Bennies with an assist from first-year
Summer Seamans, making it 2-1. Overall, CSB was outshot 20-12, including a narrow 9-8 margin in shots on goal, while St. Olaf also led in corner kicks, 6-2. Both teams registered seven fouls.
