ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team (6-5-2, 4-3-1
MIAC) scored three goals in an seven-minute span of the second half and rallied for a 3-1
MIAC road win over Bethel (3-6-2, 1-6-0 MIAC) on Saturday (Oct. 14) .
The Bennies received goals from Abby
Willenbring at 50:20;
Olivia Miller at the 55:34 mark and
Alli Voss at 56:45 to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit. With the victory, Saint Benedict moved into fourth place in the MIAC with a 4-3-1 lead record as they have 13 points in the league standings. CSB has won two straight games - both
MIAC wins - and will host UW-Stout on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the CSB Athletic Turf Field. CSB is now 5-2-2 over its past nine matchups.

Kimble praised his team's resilience and persistence in earning a road win against a talented opponent.
"I am proud of our Bennies and how they came back from a goal down against a tough team. We are feeling good about the back part of our season. I am looking forward to seeing how strong this team will finish," added
Kimble, whose team has a 5-1 goal margin, and a 41-to-20 shots advantage in the last two wins.
Bethel, which had 10 shots, including seven on goal, opened the scoring when
Malia Beilby tallied the first goal of the game at 31:07. The Royals took the lead to halftime.
In the second half, CSB rallied as
Willenbring scored her second goal in two games and her seventh career goal at the 50:20 mark to even the score at 1-1. At 55:34,
Olivia Miller tallied her second goal of the season for a 2-1 lead. Then, Voss added to the lead at the 56:45 with her fifth goal of the season and the 20th of her career. With her five goals this season, Voss ranks seventh in the
MIAC.
Junior goalkeeper
Annie Waters continued her outstanding play by allowing just one goal and recording six saves in 90 minutes in the net. She faced 10 shots during the matchup. In the past two games, she has permitted just one goal as she now has 0.84 goals against average for sixth in the MIAC.
