ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The regular season is winding down, but the College of Saint Benedict softball team is still in busy mode. The Bennies head to St. Paul Friday, April 29, for a makeup doubleheader at St. Kate's, then return home Sunday, May 1, to take on Saint Mary's.

Game time for both doubleheaders is 1 p.m. Live stats and video are available for both.

About the Wildcats
St. Kate's is 18-14 overall and 11-5 and in fourth in the MIAC – right behind the Bennies – heading into Friday. The Wildcats look to snap a three-game losing streak and get back on track with the MIAC Tournament right around the corner. Taylor Brunn is third in the MIAC with 47 hits and Alyssa Montero is fourth in the league with 94 strikeouts as well as being one of the team's top hitters.

About the Cardinals
Sunday's doubleheader wraps up the regular season for Saint Mary's, which is 16-14 overall and 9-10 and in fifth in the MIAC behind both CSB and St. Kate's. The Cardinals have won four of their last five games, including an 11-9 win over Gustavus on Sunday. Riley Hall is in the top five in the MIAC in batting average and RBIs and top 10 in hits.

Last Meeting
CSB swept the Wildcats last season, winning 14-0 and 8-0 – both in five innings – in St. Joe. Lexi Hanson and Megan Rasmussen each had two doubles and Jordyn Swoboda and Tori Harren both homered in the first game and Sheridan Glashan was 2-for-2 with two RBIs in the second game.

CSB is on a nine-game winning streak against Saint Mary's, including a sweep last season. The Bennies won 3-0 and 1-0 in St. Joe thanks to an eight strikeout, four-hit performance from Elly Novak in Game 1 and a single from Tori Harren and an RBI fielder's choice from Mo Burns in Game 2.

The Storyline
CSB, Saint Mary's and St. Kate's all have a lot to play for Sunday, as all three are trying to hold onto MIAC Tournament spots. The Bennies look to be near the top of the league to potentially host at least one game, and the Cardinals and Wildcats are looking to stay in the top six.

Who to Watch
Addy Bowne delivered the game-winning hit Wednesday to help CSB complete the sweep of St. Scholastica. She hit an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh to help the Bennies win 5-4. Tiffany Thompson picked up her third win of the season on the mound. Megan Rasmussen had a big day Tuesday at Bethel with a two-run suicide squeeze and a solo homer.
