Game Notes
ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – When it took the ice for a rescheduled game against Bethel on Dec. 8, the College of Saint Benedict hockey team had no idea it would be more than a month before it played again. The Bennies are excited to be back on the ice and back at home Friday, Jan. 14, for (another) rescheduled game, this time against St. Kate's.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the MAC in St. Cloud. Per MIAC and CSB policy, fans must be masked at all times. Spectator capacity will be capped at 70 percent or 280 fans. All spectators are encouraged to sit in pods with the people they came to the game with, and to distance themselves from other pods. Concessions will not be available. Fans exhibiting symptoms of COVID or who are generally felling unwell are asked to please stay home. Live stats and video are available

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
St. Kate's is 5-7-1 overall and 1-5 in the MIAC and also coming off a month-long break after going 0-1-1 against UW-Superior on Dec. 10 and 11. The Wildcats' lone MIAC win was an OT victory against Bethel. Kaitlyn Blair leads the team and is second in the MIAC with seven assists, Sophia Gorski is eighth in the league with six goals and Abby Severson is fifth in the league with 171 saves.
LAST MEETING
The Bennies and Wildcats haven't played since Dec. 7 and 8, 2019, due to the COVID pandemic. That year, the Bennies lost the first game 3-2 on Friday in St. Paul before winning 3-0 the next night in St. Cloud.
Ally Frantzick made 24 saves in the shutout victory.
THE STORYLINE
It's been a long month, and Saint Benedict is ready to get back on the ice again. The Bennies were scheduled to play last weekend, but COVID testing protocols ruined those plans, so CSB looks to get out and find its rhythm again in this nonconference game before getting back into MIAC play next week against St. Scholastica.
WHO TO WATCH:
