Codi Zwack had a pair of hits in the win and Hjort struck out eight.
The Storyline
After splitting with St. Olaf Saturday, the Bennies wrapped up their weekend with a pair of shutout wins against Hamline. Saint Benedict looks to use that momentum heading into Wednesday and then moving forward as the team faces a tough St. Kate's squad Saturday afternoon in St. Joe. The Bennies look to stay consistent on both offense and defense to maintain their place as one of the top teams in the MIAC.
Who to Watch
Elly Novak was close to perfect Sunday afternoon in St. Paul. She was a hit batter away from a perfect game in a five-inning first game, and gave up a single hit in four innings of work to earn the win in the second game.
Tori Harren finished the weekend with two home runs and
Katie Carlson had six hits, including three triples, in the team's six games last week.
