2022: Started and played catcher in all 39 games for the Bennies as a senior ... finished tied for the team lead and seventh in the MIAC with 28 RBIs ... finished third in the league with 13 doubles ... recorded 27 hits and a .461 slugging percentage ... recorded three RBIs in a game four times, including an elimination game against Nebraska Wesleyan in the NCAA Region Tournament ... named to the St. Joseph Regional All-Tournament Team.

2021: Earned NFCA All-Midwest Region Third Team honors as a catcher ... started and played in all 33 games behind the plate ... batted .327 and finished tied for third in the MIAC with six home runs ... finished third on the team with 33 hits and second with 24 RBIs ... finished third in the MIAC with 12 doubles ... led the team with a .644 slugging percentage ... recorded a single error and finished with a .996 fielding percentage at catcher.

Previous School: Played Division II softball at Concordia-St. Paul as a first year and sophomore ... named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence as a sophomore ... played in 12 games and started in seven for the Golden Bears ... hit .182 with four hits in 22 at-bats ... appeared in 42 games while making 30 starts in her rookie season … logged a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 46 putouts … tallied 13 hits on the year, including three doubles and two home runs … drove in 13 runs throughout the season, including three against Wayne State (4/6).

High School: Carlson is a 2018 graduate of Buffalo High School where she participated in softball for four seasons and basketball for two seasons. She also was on the Minnesota A’s Fastpitch club softball team. Carlson’s accomplishments for softball include participating in the state tournament all four seasons, all-academic honors her freshman through senior season and a trio of all-conference honors. She also earned al-section honors in 2016 and 2018 and was named to the Wells Fargo All-State Tournament Team in 2016. Her proudest moment was taking second place in the Minnesota State Softball Tournament her sophomore year.
 
Personal: Katie is the daughter of Dave and Barb Carlson and she has two siblings: Julia and Matthew. Some of her favorite activities include traveling, working, and spending time with family and friends. Katie is majoring in biology and chemistry. While at CSB/SJU she is looking forward to having the opportunity to play for and represent something bigger than her.
