ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball hits the road for the first time since November 2019 on Wednesday, April 14, when it heads to Arden Hills for a MIAC match against Bethel. The Bennies are 3-0 at home so far this season, and look to take that success on the road.

Wednesday's match starts at 7 p.m. Per MIAC policy no fans are allowed, but live stats and video are available.

ABOUT THE ROYALS
Bethel picked up its second win over St. Thomas since 2007 on March 31 before dropping a five-set match to Saint Mary's on April 7. Kirstin Cotter leads the team and is fourth in the MIAC with 41 kills, and setter Hannah Wilhite is sixth in the league with 74 assists. Ellie Hoyt is fourth in the MIAC with seven service aces.

LAST MEETING
CSB beat the Royals twice in 2019 - once in a five-set thriller to start MIAC play in Arden Hills, and then again by sweep in the first round of the 2019 MIAC Tournament. Gabby Heying and Madison Weiss both had 14 kills in the September meeting, and Madison also had 10 blocks. Hunter Weiss had 15 kills and Katie Koch finished with 38 assists in the MIAC Tournament match.

THE STORYLINE
Saint Benedict has used a balanced offensive attack and solid defense to pick up three sweeps so far this season, and the Bennies are going for more of the same Wednesday. Hunter and Madison Weiss both have 28 kills so far, but first year Emma Guest is right behind with 22, and Paige Andries has 17 kills. Both Maurissa Isaacs and Bridget McDonald have six service aces to help keep opposing defenses off balance.

WHO TO WATCH:
Senior Madison Weiss is on the edge of a milestone heading into Wednesday. She needs five more kills to become the 15th play in program history to reach the 1,000-kill milestone. She also has more than 500 blocks to her name in her three-plus seasons with the team.
