ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Saint Mary's picked up its first win of the season on March 4 against Augsburg before losing back-to-back games to the Royals heading into Saturday's game. The Cardinals haven't scored more than two goals in a game yet this season, and Kaley Manglitz leads the team with three points on two assists and a goal.
LAST MEETING
CSB and Saint Mary's already played one this season, and finished in a 2-2 tie after 65 minutes of play. The first two periods were scoreless, then each team scored a pair of third-period goals to send the game to OT. Bryann Sexauer had both of the Bennies' goals, including one with less than 45 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
Maggie Gilchrist made 31 saves.
THE STORYLINE
Saint Benedict has one last chance to get in the win column this season. The Bennies and Cardinals played to an OT tie earlier this season, and CSB looks to turn that into a W Saturday. Saint Benedict needs to get more shots on net this time around as SMU had 33 shots to the Bennies' 22 in February.
