ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team looks to tally another win this weekend when it faces St. Olaf. The Bennies snagged the overtime win against Concordia on Wednesday and hope for another on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Northfield, Minn.
About St. Olaf
The Oles are sitting in ninth in the MIAC with a 5-10 conference and 8-14 overall record. After winning two games last week, St. Olaf is coming off a loss to St. Thomas on Wednesday. K'Lynn Lewis leads the Oles in points (311) and points per game (14.1). Lewis is second in the MIAC for free throws and teammate Keegan Mulvihill is second for three point percentage. Makenna Ash leads the team with 272 rebounds and is second for points with 256.

The Bennies beat the Oles on January 12
th in Claire Lynch Hall. After the first quarter, Saint Benedict held a one-point lead over St. Olaf. That lead grew with each period with Saint Benedict holding the lead for the remainder of the game, ending with a 78-52 victory.
Megan Thompson had a career-high 27 points and grabbed five steals.
Alex Johnson tallied eight rebounds and
Sidney Schiffler netted 18 points for the Bennies. The team shot 88.9 percent from the line and 44.8 percent from the field.
The Storyline
Saint Benedict is coming off a thrilling 92-91 overtime victory at Concordia on Wednesday. Prior to going on the road, the Bennies earned two hard-fought wins at home last week against Bethel University and Macalester College. CSB looks to earn its 14
th win of the season on the road at St. Olaf, then focus on challenging St. Thomas on Wednesday in St. Paul. Saint Benedict needs the win to keep above St. Mary's in the conference standings and ensure a spot in the playoffs.

CSB is led by junior guard
Sidney Schiffler, who is the current CSB Athlete of the Week. Schiffler leads the team in three-pointers with 31, one of which was the game winner in last week's battle against Bethel University.
Megan Thompson tops the team with 300 points and 54 free throws made.
Alex Johnson is fourth in the MIAC for rebounds per game with 8.6 and fifth for total rebounds with 163.
