ST. JOSEPH, Minn – The recently ranked No. 5 College of Saint Benedict volleyball team has a busy weekend ahead. The team is coming off a 3-0 sweep against No. 11 Augsburg to face two strong MIAC opponents. CSB will first travel to Saint Mary's University in Winona on Friday, Oct. 11, for a 7 p.m. match, then travels to Northfield to face St. Olaf at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12.
About the Cardinals
Saint Mary's is looking to find consistency this season. The Cardinals are 11-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Their losses come from St. Thomas and Bethel – both 3-0 – as well as a loss to Hamline which ended 3-1. Earlier this season, SMU beat Macalester 3-0, and has performed well in many of its tournaments. Lexi Barth has helped the Cardinals this season so far with 193 kills and 121 digs. DeJaye Baab also has been a supporting player with 369 digs, and Lillian Braun lead the team in assists with 743.
About the Oles
St. Olaf is off to a hot start this season, as the Oles are currently 19-3 overall and 2-2 in MIAC play. They are hoping to keep their five-game win streak alive this weekend. The Oles' three losses come from No. 18 Saint Thomas, Gustavus Adolphus – both of which are MIAC competitors – and an early loss to then-No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Lexi Wall is leading the team – and the nation – in assists with 959 as well as having 251 digs. Emily Jarnigan is leading with 447 digs and Lauren Rewers has 280 kills for the Oles. Both Jarnigan and Rewers received MIAC Athlete of the Week awards on Monday.
The Storyline
The College of Saint Benedict is hoping to keep its 14-game win streak alive this upcoming weekend and stay in the top five in the nation. Winning the two games this weekend would mean the team would surpass the 2012 volleyball win streak of 15 matches. CSB also hope to gain momentum from the two games this weekend to help finish the season strong with only six games left until the MIAC tournament.
Who to Watch
Katie Koch is having an explosive season, she has 701 assists so far this season as well as 169 digs, and 73 kills, she is CSB's athlete of the week as well as fifth in the nation for assists per set.

Madison Weiss are leading the team in kills and blocks with 239 kills and 65 blocks for Hunter, Madison has 222 and 99 blocks. First year
Gabby Heying tied her career high with 16 kills on Saturday against the Auggies.
