ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team continues the MIAC season this Wednesday, Feb. 8, when it travels to Augsburg College in St. Paul. Game time is set for 7 p.m. as CSB looks to improve on its 9-5 conference record.

Augsburg is 12-9 overall and 5-9 in the MIAC heading into Wednesday's game. The Auggies' latest game was a 58-53 win at Carleton on Saturday afternoon. Tamira McLemore leads the team with 14.4 points per game and is second in the MIAC with 53 steals. Aiza Wilson and Abby Jordan are both in the top five in the MIAC in made three-pointers.
Last Matchup
CSB and Augsburg faced off once already this season, and the Blazers won the matchup. Saint Benedict won earlier this season on Dec. 7, 73-59 in St. Joseph.
Chelsey Guetter led the team with 18 points and 9 rebounds in the win.
Niki Fokken and Allison Newton both scored in double figures for CSB.

Guetter leads the team with 9.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and Fokken averages 9.2 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game. Fokken is second in the MIAC with 38 blocks this season. Saint Benedict heads into Wednesday's game after a 75-65 loss at Bethel on Saturday afternoon.

The Storyline
CSB has just one loss at home this season, but has struggled on the road going 3-7 this season. CSB, which got off to a hot start to the 2016-17 season, also looks to stay in the hunt for a home MIAC playoff game with a win this Wednesday. Augsburg, on the other hand, still needs a few more wins if it wants to secure a spot in the league's six-team postseason tournament. Looking ahead, CSB will be back home for a conference game Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m., when hosting Gustavus Adolphus College, in the Blazers' final home game of the season.
