ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team is back home for two conference matches after winning 3-1 at home over Luther last Saturday. CSB hosts St. Olaf College for a 7 p.m. contest Friday, Oct. 20, before hosting Gustavus Adolphus for a 3 p.m. game Saturday, Oct. 21, in Claire Lynch Hall.
About the Oles
St. Olaf is 19-8 overall and 5-2 in the MIAC. The Oles are on a three-game winning streak heading into Friday's game. Lauren Rewers leads the MIAC with 313 kills on 3.64 kills per set. Haley Langeslag is second in the league with 442 digs on 4.86 per set, and Lexi Wall leads the MIAC with 11.24 assists per set.
About the Gusties
Gustavus is 21-3 overall, is ranked 11
th in Division III and has a MIAC-leading record of 6-1. The Gusties are on an eight-game winning streak heading into Saturday's game. Kate Holtan is fifth in the MIAC with 3.18 kills per set. Brittany Luethmers is third in the league with 404 digs, and Claire Laakso is second with 1.07 blocks per set. Nora Holtan is fourth in the league with both a .297 hitting percentage and 9.90 assists per set.
Last Meeting
CSB took home a 3-1 victory against St. Olaf earlier this season on Sept. 9 in a nonconference match in River Falls, Wis. Three of the four sets were decided by three points or less.
Megan Pekarek finished the night with 48 assists,

Haley LaValle had 19 digs. Last season CSB beat the Oles 3-1.
Gustavus took home a 3-1 victory against Saint Benedict last season on Oct. 22 in St. Peter.

At the front of CSB's offense is first-year
Hunter Weiss, who currently has 216 kills. Junior outside

Madison Weiss leads the MIAC with 1.12 blocks per set and is second with 82 total blocks. Pekarek is up to 746 assists and is third in the MIAC with 10.22 assists per set and LaValle leads the CSB defense with 334 digs.
The Storyline
CSB has an overall record of 13-8 and has won eight of its last 10 games. Back at home, the team looks to stay undefeated in Claire Lynch. CSB continues MIAC action against Macalester College on Oct. 25. CSB has just four more conference games on its schedule, so the team – which is currently tied for fourth with both the Oles and Saint Mary's – looks to use every opportunity it has to stay at the top of the MIAC standings.
