ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict swimming and diving team wraps up its home season when it hosts a pair of duals this weekend. The Blazers host St. Kate's Friday night and St. Thomas Saturday morning at the Warner Palestra Pool on the SJU campus.

About St. Kate's
The Wildcats are 1-1 in duals and have three invites under their belt heading into tonight's MIAC dual. St. Kate's took second last Friday at the Joann Andregg Invite and third Saturday at the Roger Ahlman Invite. First year Alissa Ellingson recorded three top-four finishes for the Wildcats Saturday and has just one loss in the 100 fly so far this season. Junior diver Jenna Nagy picked up two wins on the diving boards over the weekend.
About the Tommies
St. Thomas is 1-1 in duals and picked up two wins over the weekend. Emma Paulson won three events and was part of two winning realys Saturday and also won two events and set two meet records Friday, and was named the MIAC and national swimmer of the week for her accomplishments. Nicole Herrli also won three events Saturday and Tiana Molitor won two. UST's only loss so far this season is to St. Olaf, which is in the top 50 in Division III.
The Blazers beat St. Kate's 170-66 last year on the SJU campus and won 14 events en route to the victory.
Kristina Rudin and
Steph Bierman each won two individual events for CSB. The Tommies edged Saint Benedict 12-112 last season in St. Paul.
Kenzie Young and
Grace Hesse picked up the Blazers' only individual wins.
Saint Benedict started its dual season with a 196-105 loss to MSU-Moorhead last Friday. Young won the 1,000 freestyle,
Carissa Gaffy-Sanford won the three-meter diving competition and
Elizabeth Moline, Rudin,
Katie Heller and Bierman teamed up to win the 200 freestyle relay. First year Briana Lovato has two top-10 diving scores in CSB history so far this season. First year
Ashley Groebner earned MIAC Athlete of the Week honors in early November after winning one event and being part of a winning relay, and she added a pair of top-four finishes to her resume against Moorhead.
After this weekend's home duals, Saint Benedict is off until Dec. 4-5 when it travels to the Jean Freeman Invite at the U of M Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
