ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team wrapped up its season with a 2-1 loss to St. Olaf Saturday afternoon.
The Blazers headed into Saturday needing Concordia to defeat St. Kate's and then a win of their own over St. Olaf to earn a spot in the MIAC playoffs, but the Wildcats dashed those hopes early. St. Kate's earned its first-ever MIAC tournament berth with a 1-0 win over the Cobbers to help end CSB's season.
Saint Benedict ends the year 7-8-2 overall and 5-6 and in eighth in the MIAC. CSB said thank you to its seven seniors prior to Saturday's game.

th minute when Sarah Behr took a pass from Madison Van Wylen and kicked it past Kaluzniak to put St. Olaf up 2-1.
Lenz and Mosher had back-to-back shots on net, but St. Olaf goalie Ruth Hesse stopped them both, and Vaughan had a shot on net a minute later, but that was also saved.
Ellie Mullen put a shot on net in the final two minutes of the game, but the Blazers couldn't get past Hesse.
