The Blazers started the first set with an 8-to-3 run and kept a significant lead for the rest of the set as they took a 25-21 win. In the second set, The Blazers jumped out to a 5-1 lead until the Knights (9-6, 0-3 MIAC) caught up and put the score at 11-10. From there, the Blazers went on an 8-to-3 run to put the score at 19-13, which was enough to distance themselves from the Knights, and take a 25-21 win.

The Blazers then dominated the third, with a 12-to-2 run to start the set. With another 6-to-0 run halfway through the set, the Blazers were able to complete the sweep with a 25-14 win.

Lexi Rinde (Minnetonka, Minn,) led the team in kills on the night with 14, and had a hitting percentage of .400. It's the fourth straight match she's had double-digit kills and an attack percentage above .300, as she moves closer to the .400 mark on the year, raising her season average to .392

Mary Franz (Broomfield, Colo.) and
Sophie Stangl (Buffalo, Minn.) added eight kills each, while Franz led the team with a .412 hitting percentage. For Franz, it was her second highest kill total of her young career.

Taya Kockelman (Minneota, Minn.) once again reached the 40-assist mark, doing so for the fourth time in the last five matches. The NCAA leader in assists per set, she raises her season average to 12.03, bettering the 12.00 mark for the first time all season.

Defensively,
Victoria Nass racked up 16 digs – her third highest total of the season – while
Chelsea Rachel added another 10.

The win was the eighth straight for the Blazers over Carleton, and they have not lost even a set to the Knights since 2008.

The Blazers play their next match at 7 p.m., Sept. 27 in Winona, Minn. against Saint Mary's. They're looking not only for another conference win, but to also add to their momentum as they go on to play defending champion St. Thomas next week.
