Moorhead, Minn. – The Saint Benedict swimming and diving team took wins in four events, but fell 182-117 on the road to MSU Moorhead on Nov. 10 in dual meet action.
Haley Chatelaine started the winning for the Blazers, taking the top spot in the 1000-free with a time of 11:28.71, just out-touching Laura Goll in second from MSUM who came in at 11:28.78.
The win was the third of the weekend for Chatelaine, after taking the 500-free and 1650-free yesterday.
Brita Skalbeck joined the winning ways with her victory in the 100-back, finishing in 1:01.89, almost a second better than her winning time yesterday.
Ellen Dean made it two meets in a row with a win, taking the 200-fly today, winning with a time of 2:17.22, over two seconds better than second place from MSUM.
Rounding out the Blazers' winners was
Stephanie Bierman in the 100-free, claiming her third individual win of the weekend.
The Blazers return to action on Tuesday (Nov. 13) for their annual Hour of Power, before hosting a pair of meets on the weekend. On Nov. 16 they welcome Morningside, and on Nov. 17 host a double-dual with Gustavus and Morningside.
