College of Saint Benedict swimmer Ellen Dean has been chosen as the 2010-11 CSB Rookie of the Year.

A first-year from Bothell, Washington, Dean stepped right up to Division III competition, earning a MIAC Championship in the 200 butterfly.  Dean also broke the conference record in the 200 fly and the CSB record in the 100 fly, 200 fly and the 200 individual medley at the MIAC Championships.

She was a two-time Blazer Athlete of the Week honoree and was a MIAC Athlete of the Week.  Her teammates voted her as the 2010-11 Blazer Swimming and Diving Most Valuable Athlete.
