The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team (6-6 overall, 1-0 MIAC) defeated St. Scholastica 3-1, bringing the Blazers to a 2-0 record in the CSB Holiday InnVitational.

Senior right side hitter Kayli Schumacher (East Grand Forks, MN, Sacred Heart) again dominated for the Blazers, compiling 16 kills off of 31 attempts for a .355 hitting percentage.  First-year setter Kathyrn Gaydos (Savage, MN, Prior Lake) totalled 49 set assists, while senior libero Amber Wortz (Fairfax, MN, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop) added 20 digs for CSB.

CSB hopes to continue its currently three-match winning streak tomorrow as they take on the Pipers of Hamline at 11 a.m. in Day Two of the tournament.
