Taking their first lead of the game deep in the second period against Hamline University, the College of Saint Benedict (2-13-3, 0-8-3) was unable to hold on, losing in OT 4-3 tonight in Saint Paul, MN.
The Pipers were able to strike first in the opening period, getting one past sophomore goalkeeper

Just under ten minutes later the team again got on the board when first-year defender

Holly Reinking (Maple Grove, MN, Elk River) gave the Blazers the lead when she scored her second goal in as many games at 16:07 in the second period.
One period later Hamline was able to answer back, tying the game and forcing overtime. A tripping penalty called on the Blazers led to the Pipers scoring the game winning goal on a power play while taking home the 4-3 win.
The two teams continue their battle tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm at the MAC. The game is the first of a three game home stand for the Blazers.
