For the second week in a row, Kenzie Young had a big week in the pool to lead the College of Saint Benedict swimming and diving team. Also for the second week in a row, the senior is this week’s CSB athlete of the week. Young won three events against Carleton at the team’s dual meet in Northfield over the weekend.

Young won the 200 fly with a time of 2:23.66, which is a new personal best and put her ahead of the second-place finisher by nearly four seconds. She followed that up with a win in the 500 free with a time of 5:29.89, which won by over ten seconds. Finally, she took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.49, winning by almost four seconds yet again.

With only one meet left before the MIAC Championships, Young has the 16
th-best 500 free time, 13
th-best 200 fly time, and seventh-best 200 IM in the conference. She is also top 10 in the MIAC in the 100 and 400 IM and the 1,650 free.

The swim and dive team competes in its last dual meet of the season at Gustavus this Saturday, Jan. 27, before it wind down to the final championship meets of 2017-18.
