Grace Halvorson - Sports Medicine - 2025-26

Grace Halvorson

Grace Halvorson, who has athletic training experience in both collegiate and professional sports, is in her second year as a licensed athletic trainer for the College of Saint Benedict.

Halvorson, of Ham Lake, Minn., will work with student-athletes, and coaches on injury prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation, sports medicine and human performance.

Halvorson's experience includes working with the Minnesota Vikings since May 2023 on organized team activities (OTA's) and off-season workouts. While with the Vikings, she was involved with field set-up and breakdown, operations of the athletic training facility, and with daily rehab program and on-field workouts. Prior to her work with the Vikings, she was with the University of Minnesota Men's hockey team from September of 2023 to February of 2024. At the University of Minnesota, Halvorson assisted the head athletic trainer in providing medical coverage during practices and games.

She also spent October of 2022 to February of 2023 with the Minnesota State – Mankato football team where she provided athletic training coverage during practices and games. Halvorson performed evaluations on injured athletes and developed rehabilitation programs. Additionally, she has experience as a strength and conditioning coach for Andover High School Girl's Hockey and Mounds View High School from June of 2018 until August of 2023.

Halvorson earned her Bachelor of Science in Biokinetics (emphasis in exercise science) at Bethel University in St. Paul. At Bethel, she was member of the hockey and softball teams. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Minnesota State – Mankato. Her certifications include BOC/ATC, CPR/AED, and Mental Health First Aid.
