High School: A 2009 graduate of La Crescent High School, Franta was coached by Mark Abraham… participated in cross country (four years), track and field (four years) and gymnastics (four years) during her athletic career at La Crescent… four-time state participant in cross country… state participant in track and gymnastics… three-time All-Conference in cross country… All-State Academic in cross country and track… 2009 female athlete of the year at La Crescent.
Personal: Daughter of Cheryl and Peter Franta of La Crescent, MN… father and uncles have attended SJU… brother Dustin runs cross country and track at SJU… enjoys running, gymnastics, reading, water sports and jewelry making… majoring in nutrition with minors in sports medicine and Spanish.
