High School: A 2007 graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice high school, Gans was coached by Loren Finlayson...participated in track and field for four years, volleyball for two years and soccer for one year during her athletic career at Sauk Rapids...was a captain and three year letter winner in track and field, made soccer and track academic honor roll and was part of the 2003 2nd place true team state… was a part of the 2004 team that took 2nd at State True Team.

Personal: Daughter of Cynthia and James Gans... older brother Paul was a part of the 2003 National Championship SJU football team, and brother John attends SJU… enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and photography… majoring in psychology.

What is your proudest moment of your career? 
"My proudest moment was throwing qualifying for conference in the javelin for the second year in a row. I was also able to throw Personal bests on all three of my attempts and finished higher than I was seated. It was a really exciting experience to have my teammates and my family there for support."

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? 
"I love being part of a team of individuals who are so enthusiastic and passionate about what they do, where everyone participates truly for the love of the sport."
