2024: Named USTFCCCA North Region Indoor Athlete of the Year on 3/6 … earned USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region honors in the mile, 3,000-meters, and 5,000-meters … named USTFCCCA National Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on 12/5 … named MIAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year for the third straight time on 2/29… earned MIAC Track Athlete of the Week honors on 2/13 and 12/12 … named CSB Athlete of the Week on 3/11, 2/26, 2/12, and 12/4. 

INDOOR: Competed in five meets, recording ten 1st place finishes … won the mile (5:03.93), the 3000 (9:46.83), the 5000 (16:40.72), and the DMR (12:22.85) at the MIAC Indoor Championships .. earned All-MIAC honors in the mile, 3000, 5000, and DMR … was a National Champion in both the 3000 (9:25.97) and the 5000 (16:26.40) at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships … earned All-American honors for her wins in the 3000 and the 5000 at the National Championships ... set a school record and Division III all-time record in the 5000 with a time of 15:50.48 at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener … won the mile (4:53.08) and the 800 (2:20.28) at the Gopher Classic … set a school record and won the 3000 with a time of 9:23.40 (4th fastest time in DIII history) and took 1st place in the DMR (12:06.38) at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

INDOORS - Served as team captain... became the first-ever in CSB school history to win an individual national title by claiming both the 3,000-meter (9:25.62)  and 5,000 meter (16:33.79) races on March 10-11, 2023 at the Birmingham Metro CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Named the USTFCCCA North Region Indoor Athlete of the Year...the 9:25.62 clocking at the NCAA DIII Championships was a championship record...became first-ever at CSB and in the MIAC to win two individual indoor titles in the same NCAAA DIII Track and Field Championship...helped CSB to its best indoor team finish of 11th (20 points) in school history...earned MIAC Athlete of the Week honor on Jan. 17, 2023 and Jan. 31, 2023.

OUTDOORS - Served as team captain...named USTFCCCA North Region Outdoor Athlete of the Year on May 25, 2023...Captured three MIAC titles in the 1,500 meters (4:34.40), 5,000-meters (16:19:98) and 10,000 meters (34:31.92)...at the DIII Championships surpassed the facility record finished second at the NCAA DIII Championships in the 5,000 meters (16:22.31) and the 10,000-meters (33:05.17), earning two more All-American honors (nine in track and field overall and 11 counting cross country)...at the MIAC Championships became the first ever at CSB to win three individual titles...helped CSB finished third in the team race....set the 5K mark outdoors with a 16:05.43 clocking at the Drake Relays on April 16, 2023 - the sixth fastest time at the NCAA DIII level...the performance at the Drake Relays in the 5,000-meters earned Smith the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honor in Outdoor Track - first in school history to earn that honor...with her 16:19.98 clocking in the 5K at the MIAC Championships, broke a nine-year old MIAC record with the program's third best time at that distance...now has 10 career individual titles in MIAC competition...also set the facility record in the 1,500-meters at the MIAC Championships with a 4:34.40 clocking...her clocking of 33:02.53 at the DIII Championships cracked school and MIAC records and ranked third overall in DIII history and as individual, ranks second all-time...with 16 points at DIII Championships, helped CSB finish a program best 15th...earned MIAC Athlete of the Week honors on April 4, 2023, April 18, 2023 and May 2, 2023.

2022: Named the 2021-22 CSB Athlete of the Year ... earned Academic All-MIAC honors for the 2022 season. 

OUTDOOR: became the most decorated athlete in CSB track and field history after earning two All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... finished fourth in both the 5K and 10K ... earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 5K, 10K and 1,500 ... set school records in all three events as a sophomore ... ran a 16:16.54 and finished fifth amongst D1 and D2 competition at the Drake Relays ... won MIAC titles in the 5K and 10K ... broke the school record in the 10K in her first time competing in the event ... named CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team - the fourth Academic All-American in program history ... won seven events and finished top five in each individual event she competed.

INDOOR: first CSB track and field athlete to earn multiple All-American honors at the same national championship meet ... finished third in the 3K and fourth in the 5K ... set school records in the mile, 3K and 5K ... won MIAC titles in the 3K and 5K ... broke the 35-year-old MIAC record in the 3K at the conference meet ... also earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention with the third-place DMR ... named 2022 MIAC Indoor Outstanding Track Athlete ... won five events.

2021: OUTDOOR: Earned All-American honors after taking fifth in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Greensboro, N.C. ... broke her own school record with a time of 16:45.74 at the national meet ... won the MIAC 5K title and took third in the 1,500 to earn All-MIAC First Team honors in both events ... earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 5K and 1,500 ... ran the third-best 1,500 time in CSB history (4:38.91) at the conference meet ... became the first runner in CSB history to break 17 minutes in the outdoor 5K on April 24 at the Hamline Showcase when she won the event in 16:53.29 ... was the first runner to break 10 minutes in the outdoor 3K on April 17 at SJU when she won the race in 9:58.64 ... won eight events and finished top five in three others.

INDOOR: became the first runner in CSB history to break 10 minutes in the indoor 3K when she finished third in the event in 9:55.71 at the Wartburg Elite Meet ... won the 5K in a school-record time of 17:23.24 at the Elite Meet ... set the CSB record in the mile (5:00.10) on Feb. 28 against Concordia ... earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the mile, 3K and 5K - the first CSB athlete to earn three all-region honors in one season ... recorded five wins and one top-three finish as a first year.

High School: Fiona is a 2020 graduate of Dhahran High School where she competed in cross country and track for seven years and basketball for four. For cross country she was awarded MVP, Rookie of the Year, All-State North Dakota, All-Conference in AASCA conference. For track she was awarded All-Conference in AASCA, MVP, and Rookie of the Year. She also competed in basketball for four years and was awarded MVP and Offensive Player. She also competed for Joud running. Her proudest moment was running in the first ever race for women in Saudi Arabia. 

Personal: Fiona is the daughter of Katie and Michael Smith. She has two siblings, Connor and Brigid, and several of her family members - including both parents and siblings - have attended CSB/SJU. Her hobbies include playing sports, baking, spending time with family and traveling. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because it keeps her involved in the college community. She is majoring in math minoring in computer science and Hispanic studies.
