High School: A 2012 graduate of Dassel-Cokato High School, Tormanen was coached by Nathan Youngs.  She participated in swimming (six years), track and field (five years), and basketball (three years).  She was four-time All-Conference in swimming, six-time athletic letter winner, two-time Coach’s Award recipient, three-time state meet participant, two-time top sixteen state meet finalist, team captain, Rookie of the Year, MVP, and Most Spirited.
 
Personal: Tormanen is the daughter of Jennifer and Erin Tormanen, her and her family reside in Dassel, Minn.  She enjoys swimming, drawing and painting and martial arts, and is majoring in art.
