2018-19: Competed in five meets before studying abroad in the spring ... recorded four top-10 finishes, including second in the 100 backstroke at the Hamline Invite.

2017-18: Qualified for the MIAC Championship in the 50 and 100 free and the 100 backstroke ... finished 29th in the 50 free, 24th in the 100 free and 15th in the 100 back ... swam a career-best time in the 100 free ... competed in nine meets for CSB ... recorded 15 top-10 finishes ... best finish of fourth was achieved three times. 

2016-17: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 50 free and 100 and 200 backstroke as a first year ... finished eighth in the 100 backstroke and in the top 20 in both other races ... swam the second-best 100 backstroke time in CSB history at the conference meet (59.28) ... also part of the 200 medley relay that took fifth and swam the fourth-best time in CSB history and the 400 medley relay team that finished fifth in the seventh-best time in CSB history ... part of the fourth-place 200 freestyle relay team ... won the 100 backstroke at the St. Kate's dual ... recorded five individual top-five finishes as a first year.

High School: Weires graduated from Litchfield High School in 2016. She participated in swimming (six years), track and field (six years), and basketball (four years). In 2014, Weires was the 100 backstroke section champion. She qualified for state four years in a row in relays and the 100 backstroke and placed in the top 16 all four years. In 2015, Weires was the 100 backstroke consolation champion at the state meet. She was the swimming team’s captain her junior and senior year. Weires was voted the team’s MVP her senior year.
 
Personal: Sydney is the daughter of Erikka and Matthew. She has one brother, Seth, and one sister, Shelby, and she loves hats. She plans to major in biochemistry with a minor in Hispanic studies.
