Biography
2006-2007: Sara Anne is a dual sport athlete as she competes on the CSB/SJU water polo team and the swimming and diving team. She has impressed the coaching staff already with her versatility in the freestyle events. Her dedication to both teams in admirable as she balances the commitments to academics and athletics.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Dowling Catholic High School, Baker was coached by Angie Nelson … participated in swimming (four years) and water polo (one year) during her athletic career at Dowling Catholic High School … was high school teammates with current Blazer first-year swimmer Theresa Kerr … received Hardest Worker and Most Inspired Awards while on the swimming team … Academic All-Conference selection in swimming… personal best in 1650 free of 19:15.
Personal: Daughter of Pam and Jeff Baker of West Des Moines, IA… enjoys reading, rollerblading, shopping and watching television… majoring in management.
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
“I enjoy being a student athlete at St. Bens because I know the coaching staff and my teammates know that academics come first. Being a member of a team with the same priorities is very rewarding.”
