High School: A 2007 graduate of Elk River High School, Peterson was coached by Colleen Killpatrick... participated in swimming (six years) and track (two years) during her athletic career at Elk River High School...was Most Improved, section finalist, state participant and All-Conference for swimming.
Personal: Daughter of Julie and John Peterson of Elk River, MN… sister attends and cousin attended CSB… enjoys volunteering, reading, going to the cabin and spending time with friends… majoring in psychology/pre-med.
What are your personal best times for your specific events? 400 IM: 4:53, 200 IM: 2:15, 500 Free: 5:26, 1650 Free: 19:00, 200 Breaststroke: 2:35
What is your proudest moment of your career?
"Earning 4th place at conference in the 800 Freestyle Relay in 2009."
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"I like the friendships that I make with my teammates. We can understand each other's frustrations and excitement when it comes to swimming. We also have being a student-athlete in common and can support each other. "
