Biography
2006-2007: Lindsey’s background as a high school swimmer as well as swimming club for Tony Peterson (SJU ’04) will help her make the transition to a college caliber swimmer. Her dedication to the sport and her team members will continue to motivate her to be successful. With her strength as a breaststroker, she will join the other members of the Blazer squad in this competitive event in the MIAC.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Simley High School, Holm was coached by Mike Bollinger…participated in swimming (six years) and softball (five years) during her athletic career at Simley High School…two-time All-Classic Suburban Conference selection in swimming…two-time state qualifier…named to the All-Classic Suburban Academic swimming team her senior year…also was an All-State Academic selection in softball…3rd place finish as a team at the state A swim meet…personal best times of 1:12.84 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:39.72 in the 200 breaststroke.
Personal: Daughter of Patty Holm and Jeff Holm…enjoys swimming, music, dancing, singing, scrapbooking, and sharing these hobbies with the people she loves…majoring in Psychology with a minor in Spanish.
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"I like the team atmosphere of a collegiate athlete along with the feeling of accomplishment by balencing a heavy work load, volunteering, other extra-curricular activities, and competing at the collegiate level."
What is your proudest moment of your career (in your respective sport)?
"I am most proud of qualifying for the high school state meet and obtaining a lifetime best in the 100 yard breaststroke. Qualifying for the MIAC conference meet and placing top 16 in all of my events was also a very proud moment in my swimming career."
