Biography

2019-20: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 backstroke and 200 IM ... finished 13th in the 100 back, 14th in the 200 back and top 25 in the 200 IM ... swam career-best times in the 100 and 200 IM as a senior ... recorded 11 top-five finishes ... finished 13th in the 100 backstroke at the Minnesota Challenge.

2018-19: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 backstroke ... took eighth in the 100 backstroke and 14th in the 200 backstroke ... swam a career-best time of 59.43 seconds in the 100 backstroke, the first time breaking the one-minute mark and the fourth-best time in CSB history ... recorded 13 top-five finishes as a junior.

2017-18: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 backstroke ... finished seventh in the 200 backstroke and eighth in the 100 ... swam the eighth-best 100 backstroke time in CSB history (1:00.29) ... also part of the 200 medley relay team that took fourth and swam the eighth-best time in CSB history ... also swam a career-best 200 IM time (2:29.94) at UST ... recorded 12 top-three finishes, including four wins as a sophomore.

2016-17: Named the team's Most Improved at the end of the season ... qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 backstroke and 500 free as a first year ... finished eighth in the 200 backstroke and 10th in the 100 backstroke ... swam the fifth-best 200 back time in CSB history (2:10.37) and the eighth-best 100 back time in school history (1:00.60) ... recorded 11 top-five finishes, including a win in the 200 backstroke at the Roger Ahlman Invite ... finished in the top 30 twice at the Jean Freeman Invite.

High School: Christiansen graduated from Orono High School in 2016. She participated in swim and dive (four years) and track and field (one year).  Christiansen was the rookie of the year in 2013. In 2015, she received all-conference honors. Christiansen was the swim and dive team’s captain in 2015.
 
Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Jill and David Christiansen. In her free time, she enjoys boating and spending time with friends. While at CSB|SJU, Lauren is majoring in nutrition with a minor in exercise science.
