College of Saint Benedict

High School: A 2010 graduate of Melrose High School, Beste was coached by Nathan Meyer and participated in swimming and diving (five years) and synchronized swimming (six years) during her athletic career at Melrose. Beste is a three-time All-State Honorable Mention and All-Conference Selection. She is the school record holder in the 100 freestyle. From 2008-10 she was a part of 15 pool, school and meet records. Beste was named team MVP and captain of the competitive and synchronized swimming teams.

Personal: Beste is the daughter of Yvonne and John Beste of Freeport, Minn. Her brothers attended SJU. She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. Beste is majoring in management with a minor in communication.

What is your proudest moment of your career? 
"Breaking the school record in the 100 freestyle."

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? 
"There are further levels to achieve in college sports."
