2016-17: Competed in four meets as a junior before studying abroad in the spring season ... recorded five top-10 finishes.
2015-16: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke ... finished in the top 30 in both events ... swam a career-best in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.76) at the Minnesota Challenge ... recorded four top-10 finishes.
2014-15: First season ... qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 50 freestyle and 100 and 200 breaststroke ... took 22nd in the 100 breaststroke and 25th in the 200 breaststroke ... finished in the top 35 in the 50 free ... swam career bests in the 50 and 100 free and 100 and 200 breaststroke ... won the 100 breaststroke at the St. Thomas dual on Jan. 10 ... recorded seven top-10 finishes.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Daniel Hand High School, Hesse was coached by Jen Lyman. She was involved with swimming and lacrosse for four years, and was named her swim team’s captain and team MVP her senior year.
Personal: Hesse is the daughter of Deanna and David Hesse. She has a brother, Grant, and a sister, Annie. Her father, two uncles, three cousins and an aunt have attended CSB|SJU. She enjoys reading and running and is majoring in global business with a Hispanic studies minor.
