Kelly Meierhofer

Years at CSB: 4th season

Kelly Meierhofer begins her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Saint Benedict hockey team in 2014-15.

In charge of the Blazers defensive corps, the Blazer blue line allowed over 30 percent fewer goals in 2012-13, compared to to the year before. After going the entire 2011-12 season without a shutout, the Blazers have recorded five shutouts over the next two seasons.

She has helped two players (2013-14 -- Christine Broderson; 2012-13 Megan Schwegeman) earn All-MIAC honors as defenders in her three seasons.

Meierhofer has an extensive background playing hockey. She attended St. Cloud State University, where she played for four years. She was a three-time WCHA Scholar Athlete and received her Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences in 2010.

Meierhofer attended Sauk Rapids-Rice High School and was an all-conference athlete in ice hockey, soccer and softball. In 2004 and 2005 she competed in the USA Development camps.
