2012-13: Junior season … second on the team with 10 points … six goals tied for the team lead with Alli O’Brien … second on the team with a +5 … appeared in all 22 games … scored six goals with four assists for 10 points … took 53 shots, second on the team … finished +5 … 3-6 PIM … scored on power play goal, in the season finale against No. 2 Gustavus … twice recorded two points, first with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Augsburg and in the following game with two goals against St. Catherine … tallied for goals in a three-game stretch from 11/17/12 to 12/1/12.
 
2011-12: Nielsen was the only player to appear in all 24 games this season. She scored three goals with nine points total. Nielsen also had six assists with one powerplay, and is proving to be a very beneficial player for the Blazers team.

2010-11: During Nielsen's rookie year season, she appeared in all 23 games. She scored two goals and recorded six points, in addition to having four assists.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Jefferson High School, Nielsen was coached by Mitch Loch and participated in soccer (four years), hockey (four years) and softball (two years). She received All-Conference honors in 2009-2010 and was an All-Conference Honorable Mention her sophomore and junior year. Nielsen captained her hockey team as a senior and was a member of the 2008 State Championship team.

Personal: Nielsen is the daughter of Jeanne and Mitch Nielsen of Alexandria, Minn. She enjoys snowmobiling, hanging out at the lake, rollerblading, and fishing. Nielsen is majoring in biology.
