CAREER-- Has played in a total of 44 games... has four total assists, four points and 15 shots on net... three times has recorded two shots in a game including 12/8/21 vs Bethel, 1/28/22 vs St. Catherine and 2/21/21 vs Gustatvus Adolphus. Four times, she has recorded assists including 11/11/22 vs Concordia-Moorhead; 12/2/22 vs Bethel; 1/20/23 vs Hamline and 2/4/23 against Saint Mary's.

2023-24: Played in 17 games…one assist, one goal, 12 shots, 12 blocks…first career goal against St. Olaf on February 9th, 2024.  

2022-2023: Saw playing time in 24 games as a junior... finished the season with four assists, four points and 3 blocked shots. Four times, she has recorded assists including 11/11/22 vs Concordia-Moorhead; 12/2/22 vs Bethel; 1/20/23 vs Hamline and 2/4/23 against Saint Mary's.

2021-22: Saw playing time in 12 games as a sophomore...put five shots on net.

2020-21: Saw playing time in eight games as a first year in a season that was shortened and played in the winter of 2021 due to the COVID19 pandemic ... put two shots on net.

High School: Nelson is a 2020 graduate of Chaska High School, while there she participated in hockey for five seasons, golf for six seasons, and tennis for three seasons. Her accomplishments for hockey include being named all-conference honorable mention as a senior and winning the 2020 Hobey Baker Award. She also earned all-conference in 2018 for golf and academic all-conference in 2019 for tennis. Her proudest moment so far in her career was being named captain her senior year of high school and being able to build meaningful relationships with the team.
 
Personal: Abby is the daughter of Darin and Heather Nelson and she has one sibling Avery. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, she also enjoys being outdoors. While at CSB she majoring in nursing. Abby is most looking forward to being a collegiate student-athlete because she will be able to continue to play hockey and meeting new people.
