Mary Kenney-Season-Career Results
2023: Kenney competed in six meets, including the NCAA Division III North Region Cross Country Championships, where she earned 110th place with a 6k time of 24:26.5. She also competed in the MIAC Championships, finishing in 26th place with a 6k time of 23:26.7. At the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, Kenney earned a 5k career-best with a time of 19:33.5, finishing 5th place overall, and recording the 50th fastest 5k in school history. Over the course of the season, Kenney placed within the top 50 twice.Â
2022: Kenney competed in seven meets, including the NCAA Division III North Region Cross Country Championships with a 6k time of 23:54.4. She also competed in the MIAC Conference Championships with a 6k time of 24:12.1. Kenney earned a personal best at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational with a 6k time of 23:06.9.Â
High School: A 2022 graduate from East Ridge High School in Minnesota, Kenney was on the cross country and Nordic skiing teams for seven seasons and on the track and field team for four seasons. Her awards for cross country include, Rookie of the Year Award (2016), Most Improved Award (2017), Most Team Spirit Award (2019,2020,2021). Her awards for Nordic Skiing include, Most Improved (2019), MVP Award (2020,2021,2022), and track and field, Young Raptor Award (2019). The proudest moment of her career so far was getting second place and a new PR at the Nike Cross Regional Meet during her sophomore year of high school.

Personal: The daughter of Anne and Ray Kenney, both alumni from CSB/SJU, Mary has three siblings; Maggie, Michael, and Erin, who also attended CSB. In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, knitting, and being outside. She is a nursing major, and she likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she enjoys being a part of a welcoming team.
