Biography

Marin Kaster-Season-Career Results 

2023: Kaster competed in five meets over the course of the season. At the MIAC Championships, she recorded  a 6k career-best of 27:56.9. At the Connecticut College Invite, Kaster finished with a 6k time of 28:48.3. At the Fall Finale, she earned 28th place with a 5k time of 24:30. 

High School: A 2023 graduate of the Academy of Holy Angels, Kaster participated in hockey for six years, lacrosse for five years, and cross country for four years. Her achievements in cross country include, being a member of the varsity team from 2019-2023, earning varsity letters in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, receiving All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022, and being named Captain in 2023. Her achievements in lacrosse include, being a member of the varsity team from 2019-2023, earning varsity letters in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, and being named Captain in 2023. Her proudest moment in her cross country career was beating her personal best in the 5K at the hardest race of the season. 

Personal: The daughter of Jennifer and Douglas Kaster, Marin has a twin brother named Colin who currently attends SJU and competes for the cross country team. She enjoys reading, writing, hanging out with friends, and playing pond hockey. She is a Business/Communications major at CSB. Marin likes being a collegiate student-athlete because it helps her keep a more balanced schedule, stay active, and meet new people, while being challenged both physically and mentally. She is excited to continue competing in a sport that she loves, and she hopes to grow both as a person and an athlete.
