Maranda Thier-Season-Career ResultsĀ 

2023: Thier competed in six meets as a junior, including the MIAC Championships where she recorded a 6k time of 26:52.1. At the Connecticut College Invitational, Thier set a new 6k career-best with a time of 26:47.6. She also competed in the Fall Finale, where she recorded a new 5k career-best with a time of 22:11, earning 22nd place.Ā 

2022: Thier competed in six meets as a sophomore, including the MIAC Conference Championships where she finished with a 6k time of 28:38.3. At the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational, she recorded a season best 6k performance with a time of 27:03.1. Thier also competed in the CSB/SJU triangular where she ran a 5k time of 23:31.2, earning 38th place overall. She was awarded an Academic All-MIAC award for the 2022 cross country season.Ā 

2021: Competed in seven meets as a first year ... ran a career-best 6K at Lewis & Clark on Oct. 16 ... finished in the top 30 twice.

High School: A 2021 graduate of Worthington Senior High School, ThierĀ participated in cross country and track. She received the Most Improved Award for track in 2019 and Minnesota Track and Field Academic All-State Award in 2021. Their also skated with the Blue Mound Figure Skating Club. The proudest moment of her career is setting her personal best in both cross country and track during her senior year, especially during COVID and all the changes.

Personal: TheĀ daughter of Maria and Mark Thier, MarandaĀ has three siblings:Ā Marisa, Mara, and Marik. In her free time, she enjoys snowmobiling, paddle boarding, figure skating, boating, and hanging out with friends. She is majoring in Elementary Education. MarandaĀ likes being a collegiate student athlete because she gets to meetĀ new people, be a part of a team, and improve her running abilities She is looking forward to the opportunities that await her.
