Biography

Lucy Lyngen-Season-Career ResultsĀ 

2023: Lyngen competed in six races and recorded two top-50 finishes. In the NCAA Division III North Region Cross Country Championships, she recorded a 66th place finish with a 6k time of 23:35.5. Lyngen also competed in the MIAC Championships where she earned 36th place with a 6k time of 23:42.8. At the Connecticut College Invitational, she ran a new career-best, with a 6k time of 23:32.3, the 36th fastest 6k in school history. At the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, Lyngen ran a career-best 5k with a time ofĀ 20:21.4, earning 8th place overall.Ā 

2022: Competed in six races, including the MIAC Championship where she recorded a 6k time of 27:53.4. Lyngen also competed in the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational, where she finished with a 6k time of 26:01.2. She competed in the CSB/SJU triangular, where she recorded a 5k time of 21:58.5, earning 29th place.Ā 

2021: Competed in six races in her first season with the cross country team ... recorded a pair of top-20 finishes ... ran a career-best 5K (22:48.77) at Luther on Sept. 11 and a career-best 6K (26:49.2) on Sept. 25 at Carleton.

2020: Played on the CSB soccer team and did not compete in cross country.

High School: A 2020 graduate of DeLaSalle High School, LyngenĀ competed in track and field for five years and hockey and soccer for four. She earned all-conference honorable mention four times in track and field, and took part in the Minnesota Track Elite Junior Olympics in 2018. She earned all-conference honorable mention hockey honors in 2020 and was named the team's MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. She also played club soccer for North Oaks. Her proudest moment was playing soccer while finishing chemotherapy.

Personal: The daughter of Tricia and CJ Lygen, Lucy has one sister, Leah. Both of her parents,Ā her sister, and several aunts and uncles have all attended CSB/SJU. She enjoys staying active and hanging out with friends, and is a communication major at CSB.
